Introduction

Ultimate Reset – Day #15. Theres something very cool about saying your in the last week of the Ultimate Reset! The home stretch! At the same time its pretty intimidating because for the final 7 days we are now totally Vegan! Thats tough….Very tough!

We also introduced this week a new supplement called Revitalize which introduces healthy flora back into your system and digestive track. No more Detox which helped last week really push out the garbage from the digestive track…

But also planning to ramp up the juicing this week too to help fill the void and hunger pangs that a bigger guy like me has. Dana my wife doesn’t have the cravings for more calories I have so she’s more or less ok with the menu for this week…This Juice helps me fill that gap….

Plus I just love juicing and the flavor of them!!!

Introduction

Ultimate Reset – Day #12 was a Much more controlled day today and dead on with our scheduled meals, Reset supplementation, and even exercise was on point today.  

Meals

Meals today included fresh fruit left over from last nights Super Bowl gathering for breakfast, and a micro greens salad for lunch, and my favorite Miso Soup for dinner. Snack wise I snuck in my shakeology for that today. 

Shakeology has been one thing I haven’t been willing to let go of for the reset. I just hate the way I feel without it…Suffering from Ulcerative Colitis and living with a J-Pouch I need the regularity and digestive enzymes present in that daily shake to not only help me with my unique digestion but also give me a lot of vitamins and nutrients I lack daily with no colon for absorption.

Tomorrow brings us a step closer to the end of week 2 and closer to the final 7 days!! Can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel!!

Introduction

Ultimate Reset – Day #11. Today is the SuperBowl!! Let me repeat that..Today is the SuperBowl!

Did I survive, the Pizza, wings, snacks, chips, desserts, and adult beverages? Kind of but not exactly! I’ll admit I had a slice, and a beer tonight…but the rest was fruit and veggies! 

Thoughts

Not gonna beat myself up over it though……Woke up this morning and while I was a little sick from that little amount with the grease and all, I actually lost another lb…The body is a funny thing..I had kind of plateaued a lil but just giving my body a few more calories today it actually kickstarted the body to let free some more of that stored sugar and fat and burn it again..hence I lost a lb eating something I should not have…..

Back on track Monday though! Were i the home stretch now!!

Ultimate Reset – Day #10

Introduction

Ultimate Reset – Day #10. Well the dreaded weekend is in full effect…..Why do I say dreaded? Well weekends are hard on the reset…Your not as scheduled work wise, you have more family events like sports and tournaments in my case…So its easy to get off track and eat conveniently when your not supposed to!!

Meals

Case in point…All day Bowling tournament today! So whats a guy to do? Plan ahead! we had our healthy breakfast before we left and took our Reset supplement Bag and our lunch and mid afternoon snack! Yep we sat in the corner of a bowling alley eating micro green salads and fruit while everyone else had burgers, fries, and pizza! like I said in the start…I got goals!

now with that being said..Tomorrow will be tougher…Why? Its the SuperBowl! Yeah I’ve already decided I may have to have a slice or wing! Grrrrr tis gonna be tough!

Heres the bag that keeps us on track! Especially when traveling! Houses all our supplements and goodies!

Introduction

Ultimate Reset – Day #9 has come and gone and the Middle of this reset road is so close now! It always excites me to be on the down slope of the Ultimate Reset…Why? Well it means your that much closer to getting back to a new regular healthier choices routine…..

Today was tough because for some reason I had cravings today…Yes I had cravings for some of the stuff I’m trying to retreat and reduce. One thing that always helps with my cravings though and a trick I have used for years is a scoop of Peanut or Almond Butter. Yep it can be that easy too curb cravings… and Yes I had to resort to that today.

Tomorrow will be tough as its Saturday and have a day filled with sons events…Tournament all day so that means have to be extra ready and prepared and bring our meals with us!

Ultimate Reset – Day #8

Introduction

Ultimate Reset – Day #8. Streamlined kind of Day for the official kick off to week 2. I guess what that means is nothing to report that was extraordinary today…..Hey thats a good thing!

Introduced a new supplement this week though… A 3 times a day detox powder ya mix with your mineralized water you drink 30 mins before each meal. Now with a Pelvic Pouch, no Colon,  and Ulcerative Colitis I usually only do 2 of the 3 per day because after all my natural state is not being too backed up… I have to be careful not to cause infection in my pouch…But for the regular “Colon” user ya do it three times a day 😉

Meals

Carbs were non existent today as I had Fruit for Breakfast, Microgreen Salad for lunch and had Miso Soup again for dinner…What can I say..I like the Miso!

Onto Day 9! Hey look were almost half way there!

Ultimate Reset – Day #7

Introduction

Ultimate Reset – Day #7. Week 1 into the Books! 2 weeks to go officially as I end today! Week 1 is designed to ease you into whats to come. Ya have some eggs within week 1, a few dishes with meat such as Chicken and Salmon….All of it slowly being removed as you move more and more toward the Vegan lifestyle.

Well I’d be lying if i said I wasn’t gonna miss some of those foods I have to say bye bye to now for the next 2 weeks!! If its one thing I’ve learned over the last 8 years doing the reset is that as much as I respect and admire the vegan lifestyle, its one lifestyle I personally could not sustain long term. I love meat, I love carbs so while its good to detox and let the body heal from some of what we do to it over the course of a year, I just know this is a once in a year thing being vegan for me! But man is it good for the body! Already seeing big changes!

Thoughts

Did I mention I’m down 8lbs already in 7 days…Yeah I did jump on the scale today and was rather shocked. One thing I’m doing a lil different from the Reset rules is working out lightly…Today was Yoga and it felt great to also sweat out some of what the Reset helps you rid the body of!

Looking forward to week 2 tomorrow!

Meals

Ultimate Reset – Day #6 introduced one of my favorite meals today! Roasted root medley… Cooked the yams and juiced the beets for a great combo for dinner! Its so yummy and natural sweet! Really should click the links below I added to check out the recipe!

My Buddy Jason Diebold got me turned on to juicing several years ago and since then have loved beet juice, apple, carrot, and ginger root. But for this reset just did the beet juice and lil ginger for the next couple weeks!

Tomorrow is the last day of week 1 and looking forward to changes next week with recipes and new supplements. So tells me who’s ready to try the reset now after seeing what it is so far?
